A free prompt kit from True North Creative

Find Your Story

Turn what you know about your business into a story you can use.

You know the work. You know the people you help. Putting that into words can be harder.

Find Your Story gives your AI assistant a way to interview you, one question at a time. Use your answers to create a clear Business Story Brief and three content ideas based on your experience.

PDF guide + copy-and-paste prompt + editable brief template, sent to your inbox. Bring your own AI assistant; its account requirements and fees still apply.

A clearer message and a place to start

A Business Story Brief you can keep. Bring your audience, message, meaningful differences, and supporting examples into one document you can save and share.

Three grounded content ideas. Get working titles, simple outlines, and a next action for each idea, with notes on what to check before publishing.

A record of what supports your story. Keep track of the details you supplied, what is still missing, and which stories need permission before you use them.

Start with a conversation

  1. Download the kit. Open the guide and the file labeled COPY THIS PROMPT.
  2. Paste the prompt into a new AI conversation. Answer one question at a time in your own words. Short answers are fine.
  3. Review and save your brief. Correct anything that feels wrong, keep the evidence notes, and choose one of your three ideas to work on.

The prompt is designed for 6-8 interview questions, with a limit of 10, followed by a review. You can skip a question, pause, or ask it to finish with what you have already shared. AI behavior can vary.

What a useful story can sound like

Fictional service-business example. This is an illustration, not a customer result or testimonial.

Starting point

“We really care about our customers.”

The concrete detail

The organizer starts with one room and leaves written next steps.

Suggested message

“Start settling in with one room and a clear next step.”

One content idea

Show your own demonstration shelf and explain how you choose a place to start. Use an example you created, without exposing a customer’s home or promising results you have not measured.

The goal is to find something specific you can stand behind.

For people close to the work

This kit is for small-business owners and small nonprofit teams who know their work but want help explaining it. You can use it before you have customer stories. The conversation can focus on an actual process, product decision, or founder experience instead.

You do not need polished answers or marketing experience. You do need to review the result before using it.

Before you start

Is the kit really free?

Yes. You can download and use this kit without buying another True North Creative product. Your AI provider may require an account or charge its own fees. We'll email you the kit and two short follow-ups to help you use it. Unsubscribe anytime.

Which AI assistant should I use?

Use a text-based assistant that accepts a pasted prompt and supports a continuing conversation. The kit is portable text, not an app or an installed assistant. Behavior varies by provider, and it has not been tested across providers. The guide includes reset instructions if your assistant asks too much at once or adds a detail you never supplied.

How long should I allow?

Set aside roughly 15-25 minutes as a planning estimate, depending on your answers. This is not a measured completion time. You can type “finish now” to get a draft sooner.

What if my business is new?

Say so. The prompt is designed to use a real founder experience, process, or product decision when you do not have customer stories. It should leave missing evidence visible.

Should I include customer details?

Keep names, contact details, private records, and sensitive stories out of the conversation. Check your AI provider’s data settings before sharing business information. Get appropriate permission before publishing someone’s story; removing a name may not make it unrecognizable.

Does True North Creative receive my AI conversation?

The kit does not connect your AI conversation to True North Creative. Your conversation takes place in the AI service you choose. Do not treat this download as a private storage service.

Will this write and publish my social posts?

It creates a brief and three content ideas for you to review. It does not publish content. You decide what to develop and use.

Put your story to work

Story to Social turns your reviewed brief into a 30-day plan, 12 draft captions, 4 short video outlines and a simple publishing routine. It's $49, and your Find Your Story brief is complete without it.

Start with what you already know

You do not need a bigger claim. Start with the work you do, the choices you make, and the people you help.

Keep your brief. Choose one idea. Make sure it sounds like you.
